Max was born in England 39 years ago and raised by his stepfather Julian Hipwood. His father was the captain of the English Polo Team for nearly 20 years and was twice an Argentine Open finalist. They lived in Cowdray Park, in Sussex in the summers and in Wellington, Fl during the winters. Max went to Stowe school, Buckinghamshire, England.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really looking forward to getting to India. I can\u2019t wait to play the tournament and experience the culture, people and ponies of Manipur. It\u2019s a part of the world I have never been to before,\u201d Max says.<\/p>\n
At 17 years of age Max left school to pursue Polo. At 21 years of age, he stopped traveling to England and concentrated his time in the U.S. He has played high goal polo from the 20-26 goal level for a number of teams including Revlon, Calumet, Coca Cola, Isla Carrol, Everglades and Black Bears, with whom he reached the final of the British Open.<\/p>\n
